NYC, White House increase efforts to give children COVID vaccine availability

In efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, New York City and the White House making major moves to get kids vaccinated.
According to the city's health commissioner, NYC has received about 20,000 pediatric vaccine doses so far and another shipment is expected soon.
The White House COVID-19 response team and federal public health officials will also have a meeting today to give an update on the federal COVID-19 vaccine rollout plan for young children. They are also expected to give clarity on vaccine safety and where to go to receive it.
Recently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unanimously recommended both Pfizer and Moderna for children. This opens the door for 20 million more children to get vaccinated.
In the Bronx, parents can head to the Morrisania Clinic that's open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
In Brooklyn, the NYC vaccine hubs are at the Jefferson and he Livonia, both open from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. The Brooklyn Children’s museum will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
