NYC Mayor-elect Adams picks Keechant Sewell as NYPD's 1st female police commissioner
New York City Mayor-elect Eric Adams has selected Keechant Sewell as the NYPD's first female police commissioner.
Sewell is currently the Chief of Detectives for the Nassau County Police Department on Long Island.
She is a 22-year veteran of the force.
