A routine inspection of the Muscoot Reservoir in Katonah led to the discovery of a car at the bottom and could end up breaking a case in White Plains.
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection police manages New York City’s water supply. A routine check took them to Westchester County to monitor the Muscoot Reservoir, during which they found the car.
DEP police were back at the reservoir Tuesday along with state police and White Plains police. The car has since been towed away and will be analyzed by state police.
Authorities aren't revealing much. It's not yet clear what case in White Plains the car is connected to.
