Hastings-On-Hudson hosted its annual Memorial Day parade on Warburton Avenue on Sunday.
The parade is an annual event that honors all who have served the country and lost their lives defending it. Organizers say it seems to grow every year.
This year, military bands, veterans and civic associations marched together in remembrance.
Jim Brownold is an Army veteran from Hastings-On-Hudson who proudly served the nation.
"I didn't realize there were so many different groups, music, classic cars. It was a lovely parade,” Brownold said of the event.
Jane Hoffman is one local resident who came to show her gratitude to the military.
"People died for us. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have the freedoms that we have,” she said.
Organizers say the message of the parade is that those who have made the ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.
