The Norwalk Film Festival is bringing back their annual event in the center of the city with a line-up of 60 films.
The historic Wall Street Theatre will be hosting the third annual festival all weekend long. Organizers say it's a special weekend of filmmakers displaying their work and getting arts back in the forefront of the community.
"Without arts and culture in a community, it's dry, it's not vibrant. People come out to culture and arts events to connect," says Jennifer Bangers, a volunteer at the festival.
Bangers explains the festival gives people an opportunity to attend more events post pandemic.
"After a couple years of the devastating pandemic, to find an opportunity for people to come out and connect again, lift the veil....enriches all of us really," she says.
This year's festival will feature documentaries, narratives, and shorts. The 60 films selected this year were based on over 200 submissions entered.
There will also be networking opportunities with Connecticut filmmakers and panels featured throughout the weekend.
