North Castle police issued a warning to residents about possible car thefts for today.
The department says New Year's Day is one of the most active days of the year for car thefts.
Police want you to make sure your car is locked. They ask residents to close the windows and not leave anything in plain sight, to park in well-lit areas and if possible use anti-theft devices.
