Wednesday's nor'easter slammed Yorktown Heights with rain and wet, heavy snow.
The Yorktown town supervisor declared a state of emergency there through 9 a.m. Thursday. Residents were told to stay off the roads.
On Commerce Street, the snow was deep and heavily layered onto the road and sidewalks by Wednesday evening.
Power outages from last week's nor'easter continued to cause problems for residents who have not yet had their service restored. Crews were working throughout the day to make repairs.
A warming center at 1975 Commerce St. was opened for those who need it.
