The union representing non-teaching staff at Westchester Community College staged an "informational picket" at the Valhalla campus Tuesday.
Members of the Civil Services Employees Association, or CSEA, say they have been working without a contract since Dec. 31, 2009. The non-teaching employees say that without a pay raise or cost of living increase, it has been taking a toll on them and their families.
"We're imploring the college administration to meet with us and settle a fair and equitable contract, for the people who serve this college so proudly," says CSEA 9202 President Gina Pelliccio. She says they are in mediation talks, but the negotiations do not look hopeful.
College officials say they won't go into the details of the negotiations but are hopeful to come to an agreement.
