The state's attorney general is now investigating an apparent discriminatory advertisement against Haitians.
The ad in question appeared in the Rockland Pennysaver stating a health care company was looking for a nurse, but requested that "no Haitians" apply.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is now demanding proof that the ad will be discontinued.
Interim Healthcare, the company that posted the ad, says the incident is under investigation and issued an apology.
The Rockland Pennysaver has also apologized.
The New York State Nurses Association is expected to hold a rally Wednesday night at Interim's Nanuet offices to protest the ad.
