Westchester County police have concluded their investigation into the fatal crash on the Hutchinson River Parkway that claimed the lives of five Connecticut residents back in March.
The tragic incident took the lives of two sets of siblings aged between 8 and 17.
Authorities revealed that the 16-year-old driver, who tragically didn't possess a permit or license, likely fell asleep at the wheel. This led to the vehicle veering off the road, colliding with a boulder and a tree before erupting into flames.
After an exhaustive investigation, law enforcement officials have determined that there will be no criminal charges filed in connection with the accident. However, the reason why the minors were driving alone remains unknown.
