No arrests have been made days after the shooting of a baseball prospect from Yonkers.
Police say Michael Nolan, 23, was shot in the head at around 12:30 a.m. Friday while standing in the parking lot of the Burger King across from the Cross County Shopping Center.
The 6-foot-7 left-handed pitcher who was drafted by the Oakland A's is now fighting for his life. His parents say he is in a medically induced coma at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. He is in stable but critical condition.
Donna and Jimmy Nolan are begging for someone to come forward with information regarding the shooting. "Somebody knows something. I'm just asking them, please... this is my son," pleads Donna Nolan.
Police are looking into the possibility of the shooting being connected to an argument over drag racing. They are still trying to determine if Nolan was the intended target, although his mother insists he was an innocent bystander.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by Nolan's college friends.
