NJ teen hit, seriously injured by bus heading to Rockland camp

A 14-year-old girl was struck by a bus Wednesday morning in Bergen County and seriously injured.
Police said the teen was jogging when she was struck at the intersection of Anderson Avenue and County Road in Demerest.
The bus was heading to Camp Ramaquois in Pomona.
Authorities said the girl was airlifted to a hospital. Her condition has not been released.
The driver, employed by First Student, Inc., remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Camp officials said in a statement, "The health and well-being of our campers and staff remains our highest priority. The safety of our bus routes is of paramount importance."
