News 12 partnered with Optimum, Discovery Inc. and the Mt. Vernon Boys and Girls Club for a backpack giveaway.
News 12's Scott McGee and Lisa Salvadorini were out with Thunderbolt 12 for the special giveaway in Mount Vernon.
The 500 backpacks at the giveaway included lunch bags, a water bottle, a face mask, a ruler and colored pencils.
