Memorial Day parades were held across the Hudson Valley and around the nation today to remember the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
One of those parades was held in Chappaqua, the hometown of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The Newcastle Memorial Day Parade paid tribute to Staff Sgt. Kyu. H. Chay of Chappaqua, who died while serving in Afghanistan.
A bridge was formally dedicated to Chay today with his family in the audience. Clinton presented his parents with photographs of the bridge that will now bear his name.
Chay, a member of an elite Army unit, was killed by an improvised explosive in 2006.
Gubernatorial candidate and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino also attended the event.
