One of two suspects in an alleged Orange County bank scam crashed his car with police in pursuit Monday afternoon on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers.
Earlier in the day, at a Chase Bank in Newburgh, two men allegedly tried to cash bogus checks with fake IDs.
Police say one suspect surrendered after officers arrived at the branch on 9W. The other allegedly jumped into a getaway car by himself.
Authorities say that the suspect almost hit an officer in the bank parking lot when he took off.
Police say they put out an alert for the suspect's car, which was later spotted by authorities in Yonkers.
So far, police have not identified the suspects but say charges will be filed.
