The number of measles cases in the U.S. has reached its highest level since the disease was declared eliminated.
Data from Johns Hopkins University shows more than 1,200 confirmed cases so far this year.
Most of the cases have been reported in Texas.
New York has seen 13 cases in total, according to the state Health Department.
Four of those were in Orange County, with one in Putnam.
Researchers warn the U.S. could lose its measles elimination status if the trend continues.
