WalletHub ranked all 50 states to see which are the best to raise a family, and New York came in second.

Fun, health and safety, education and child care, affordability and socio-economics were all looked it. 

Massachusetts came in first place. It was followed by New York, Vermont, Minnesota and Nebraska. 

The five states with the lowest rankings include Oklahoma, South Carolina, Louisiana, New Mexico and Mississippi. 

New York also ranked 48th for the least affordable housing.
