Some first time bus riders entering kindergarten and first grade in the Yonkers School District were offered an orientation program Thursday to ease any fears parents or new students may have.
The program offered students the opportunity to take a tour of a school bus and learn about the safety exits and procedures.
The program also allowed parents and students to practice daily routines like using a seat belt and using the handrail.
