The pool at the YMCA in New Rochelle is closed after part of the roof came crashing down back in November.
An inspection showed rust had weakened the support beams. Now the entire ceiling above the crystal blue water needs to be replaced.
The price of the renovation is $1.4 million. So far, they've raised over $215,000 and the long-term goal is about $400,000.
The YMCA is hosting a fundraiser Thursday night. The public is invited to the gym for a night of fun and funds.
Officials tell News 12 that if they raise enough money, they plan to start the repairs in just a couple of weeks and that the pool should be reopened by summer.
