The city of New Rochelle celebrated "National Bike to Work Day" on Friday.

Booths were set up on the corner of North Avenue and Station Plaza to promote exercise by giving away free trail maps. New bikes were also displayed and will soon be available for residents to use.

 

The city announced its new shared bicycle program. Starting in the fall, commuters will be able to rent bicycles at several stations throughout the city. 

 

The program will be the first shared bicycle program in Westchester.
