Police in New Rochelle have a mystery on their hands as they try to figure out how a man ended up floating in the Long Island Sound.
Fishermen found the body in the waters off New Rochelle Wednesday. Police have identified him as 20-year-old Javier Lopez, of New Rochelle. They say Lopez was a new employee at the Greentree Country Club on Davenport Avenue. Police say the body was in the water for a few days and there are no signs of foul play. However, police are investigating how Lopez died and why his ended up in the water.
The Westchester County medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
