New Rochelle police arrested a pair of accused burglars after a multistate police chase.

It was part of a countywide operation to fight back against vehicle and catalytic converter thefts.
New Rochelle police were taking part in "Operation Thundercat" around 3:30 am Friday when the county's real-time crime center told officers about a car stolen from Boston going south on I-95.
The people inside reportedly burglarized a Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich.
A post from Greenwich police said the suspects used the car to back through the front doors of Saks Fifth Avenue.
New Rochelle police and county police used new techniques from the county to deflate the suspects' tires.
The two suspects ran off, but New Rochelle police caught up and took them into custody, where they were charged with criminal possession of the stolen property, among other things.
The suspects have been identified as 28-year-old Mykuan Smith, from Chicago, and 34-year-old Alton Jackson, the accused driver.
Jackson was already wanted for multiple violent felonies in Illinois.
New Rochelle police say 90 officers from 27 Westchester County police departments participated in "Operation Thundercat."
