A New Rochelle man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for killing his mother.
Daniel Flores-Arteaga, 28, pleaded guilty to manslaughter last July, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office.
Authorities say in March 2020, Flores-Arteaga put his 54-year-old mother into a chokehold during a dispute in her home.
She died nine days later.
After Flores-Arteaga is released from prison, he will be on probation for five years.
