A fallen officer has been honored in New Rochelle for giving his life to the force.
The city has decreed that Nardozzi Place will now also be known as Police Officer Allen B. McLeod Way.
Officer McLeod was killed in the line of duty in 1977.
His son Christopher, who was just over a year old when he lost his father, tells News 12 the tribute means a lot to his family. "Proudness. I'm proud to have a father who served this community as well as he did and [is] still remembered by the people who live here," says Christopher.
The proud son also says he wishes he could tell his father how much he loves him.
