A New Rochelle day care center has been helping parents with tough work hours for years.
What makes Dee's Tots Childcare so unique is that it is open 24 hours.
Deloris Hogan started taking care of children 37 years ago after one mother really needed her help.
"She got into a bad car accident, she was in the hospital for about a month or two and the child needed day care overnight," Deloris Hogan says.
It was that need that put her on track to officially opening up Dee's Tots Childcare.
"Next thing you know people was knocking at my door," Deloris Hogan says.
The service for through-the-night child care was a gamechanger, especially for hardworking parents like Marisol Valencia who has leaned on Hogan and her staff for the past nine years.
"I was working, I have different schedules, I have multiple jobs. It was very important that I had a babysitter," Valencia says.
The 24-hour child care provides her with one less thing to worry about.
"It was something off my shoulder because I know my children are in a good place," Valencia says.
"We always appreciate the sacrifices that we're making because we know they are making sacrifices to provide their family," says the child care's Patrick Hogan.
Their good deed also caught the attention of actress and daytime host Drew Barrymore, who teamed up with the clothing brand French Toast to give them school clothes and $20,000.
"Yes, anything to get childcare out there, I'm on the show," Deloris Hogan
The money will go toward opening up a second location.
Deloris Hogan says the new location will also be in New Rochelle and hopes to have it open by March 2023.
