The City of New Rochelle has added three new fire trucks to help residents in case of an emergency.
The new vehicles have 100-foot tower ladders that are equipped with more modern firefighting and rescue tools. The trucks replace older models to better serve the community.
"The city is growing with development," said Charles Strome, the city manager. "We have several projects coming online in the next couple of years. We need to have an up-to-date modern fire fleet to protect those buildings in case of an emergency.
The updated trucks are now suitable to provide service in commercial districts.
