A new photo shows the funnel cloud of a tornado that ripped through Sullivan County this weekend.
The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado touched down in Roscoe on Saturday night.
Crews in Sullivan County continue to clean up today after the twister left destruction and debris behind.
An educational farm was heavily damaged by a fallen tree. A windmill on the property was also damaged. A roof was blown off a Roscoe auto body shop and onto a Jeep in the parking lot.
Those living in the area were without power for most of the weekend and work is being done to turn the lights back on across the county.
"You can tell there was a tornado that came through. This is very rare in Sullivan County. It's happened before, but it has not happened in many years, especially in such a mountainous area," says Dan Hust, Sullivan County's communications director.
Despite the damages, Hust said he was in downtown Roscoe and saw that the lights were on and businesses were open.
Officials say damage assessments will determine if any state or federal funds will be requested to help with the clean-up.
