Maserati is using the former General Motors site to test out some of its new vehicles.
The luxury car company is training its team on some new vehicles. The lot, owned by Edge-On-Hudson, was transformed into a racetrack.
Staff members say the cars can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 170 mph.
Residents can check out the closed course on Beekman Avenue for themselves on Saturday.
