Halloween is quickly approaching. But those who suffer from some food allergies can’t always get in on the fun. But thanks to one New Jersey family dealing with Celiac disease, this can change.
The Undercover Chocolate Factory in East Hanover creates delicious and healthy snacks. The blend is made of quinoa, milk or dark chocolate and even some dried fruit. The snacks are now served all over the world.
“I initially had a small chocolate business, which was more of a hobby helping friends,” says co-owner Diana Levy. “In 2016, two of my three teenage daughters were diagnosed with Celiac disease. I wanted to come up with a product that was healthier, better for you. Used cleaner ingredients and was gluten-free.”
The business opened in 2018.
Undercover Snacks are now sold worldwide and can be found in up to 20,000 stores.
The family says the snacks are guilt-free, gluten-free and non-GMO.
