New grant to enhance road safety in Mount Vernon, Tarrytown, and Larchmont

Mount Vernon, Tarrytown, and Larchmont are poised to see improved road safety thanks to a new initiative announced by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
These communities will receive a grant totaling nearly one million dollars, aimed at preventing car accidents, enhancing traffic education, and making roads safer for drivers throughout the state.
Mount Vernon is set to receive $296,000, Larchmont will receive $100,000, and Tarrytown will benefit from $340,000.
These funds will be used to develop comprehensive safety action plans in each of these Westchester communities. The remaining statewide funds will go toward updating the ADA transition plan in the city of Buffalo.
