A woman's 13-year-old daughter was killed and her husband was critically injured in a car crash over the weekend.
Police say Larisa Karassik died Saturday after Heath Drouin, 42, ran a stop sign and slammed into the car in which Larisa was riding with her father and best friend. Drouin was also pronounced dead on the scene.
Anastasia Karassik, Larisa's mother, was looking forward to this week because her daughter had planned to attend her final eighth grade dance on Friday.
The elder Karassik says that her daughter was a typical teen in many ways. She loved art, soccer, softball and the band One Direction.
Wake services for Karassik will be held at the Tolstoy Foundation on Tuesday with funeral services planned for later in the week.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Karassik's parents and two younger sisters.
