New banners honoring military veterans will soon fly high in the town of New Windsor in Orange County.
The "New Windsor Heroes" veterans banner program honors those who have served our country and also call the Town of New Windsor home.
The banners will go up along the main traffic corridors, starting with Union Avenue by Town Hall, according to Supervisor Stephen Bedetti.
The banners will be printed locally by Signs by Depew, and hung up by town employees.
People can submit nominations for anyone who has served in a branch of the military.
