A new assisted living facility has opened its doors in Rockland County.

Braemar Living at Montebello is a $54 million development expected to house nearly 200 residents and employ about 80 people.

The facility, located on Lafayette Avenue, features multiple dining rooms, a movie room, and other amenities.

"It's a place that people can come, they can be independent. They can be active. They can be healthy. They can age in place, and their families can be engaged as well," said Richard Filaski of the FilBen Group.

Resident Ed Frankoski called it "very nice" and "very accommodating."
