A new 270-foot-long bridge has been installed over the New York State Thruway in Tarrytown, aiming to improve access and enhance safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The bridge, located along Route 9, is part of a nearly $14 million project funded by both the New York State Thruway Authority and the Department of Transportation to modernize infrastructure in the area.
Officials say the project is expected to be mostly finished by the end of the year, with the bridge itself slated to open in the coming months once construction is complete.
