For the second time this week, police in Mount Vernon are looking into a mysterious death.
Police say a woman had to get a locksmith to open the door when she went to check on her friend Thursday who rented a room on South Terrace Avenue. She discovered his badly decomposed body. Police say the 48-year-old man probably took his own life. Because of the condition of the body, police believe it was inside the room for several days.
Wednesday morning police found 18-year-old Ricardo Rowe's body, inside his girlfriend's home at South 13th Avenue. Police say he may have stabbed himself in an apparent suicide.
