The suspect in a West Nyack murder is being held without bail.

Police arrested Dylan Lentini, 19, in connection with the stabbing death of 66-year-old Michael Wimbert inside a small apartment house at 68 Demarest Ave.

Lentini was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court Monday afternoon and charged with second-degree murder.

Police were called to the house at around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday after neighbors say Lentini yelled to call 911. Investigators found Wimbert stabbed multiple times in his top-floor apartment.

Detectives are still investigating how the two men knew each other. They say Lentini told police he had been living at the Covenant House homeless shelter in Manhattan, but was recently staying with Wimbert. According to his Facebook page, Lentini is originally from Sacramento, California. He studied mathematics at Solano Community college and listed Opinion Access Corporation in Long Island as his employer.

Efforts to reach that company were unsuccessful.

Police say evidence led investigators to believe he's guilty.

"We have him making a comment to the neighbor, 'call the hospital, call 911;' a laceration on his hand, and he was interviewed by detectives. Based on that, there was probable cause to charge him with murder," says Clarkstown Police Chief Michael Sullivan.

Lentini is due back in court this Friday.
