A multivehicle accident occurred on Route 6 in the Town of Woodbury, Orange County Thursday night, leaving several people badly hurt, including children.

According to police, three vehicles were involved in the crash, with one victim airlifted to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Route 6 was closed until after midnight as town and state police investigated the incident.
