Mudslide suspends Metro-North service between Croton-Harmon and Tarrytown

Metro-North service on the Hudson Line remains suspended between Croton-Harmon and Tarrytown because of a significant mudslide onto the railroad tracks.
The MTA blamed Saturday's rainy weather for the mudslide.
Officials say service is now running hourly between Grand Central and Tarrytown, and between Croton-Harmon and Poughkeepsie.

There is very limited bus service between Tarrytown and Croton-Harmon.
Authorities blocked off parts of Country Club Lane on Saturday afternoon to give crews a chance to assess the mudslide.
"Right now, they're trying to plan out how they're going to attack it. They're going to start removing the dirt a little at a time," said Mount Pleasant Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi.
He stressed that crews will have to be delicate to avoid more dirt from piling in.
