Today is going to end up being one of the nicer days this week with a mix of sun and clouds and high temperatures above average - in the 40s. There is a chance for a stray snow shower, mostly in Dutchess and Ulster counties this afternoon and evening, but most of the day will be dry.

You will need to dress in layers tomorrow through Thursday! Colder and windier weather returns for three more days starting tomorrow with morning wind chills around 5 to 15 degrees and afternoon wind chills in the 20s at best. Overall, it will be dry during this stretch, but a stray snow shower is possible.

Friday will be less cold and mostly sunny with high temperatures returning to more seasonable levels in the upper 30s.

While a major storm is not likely at this time, light rain and some wintry mix is possible off and on later Saturday through early next week. WEDNESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. It will be very cold and windy again with highs around 32 degrees feeling more like the teens and 20s. A stray flurry cannot be ruled out. Lows near 19 degrees.

THURSDAY: A mix of sun and clouds with scattered flurries possible. Highs around 32 degrees. It will still be windy and feeling more like the teens and 20s. Lows around 22 degrees.
