A Mount Vernon city worker was arrested for allegedly pocketing hundreds of dollars in parking meter money.
Richard Servino, 61, was allegedly caught stealing coins he was supposed to be collecting for the city. Prosecutors say he stole more than $500 in quarters.
Police say they were tipped off about what was going on and launched an internal investigation, which led to Servino's arrest.
Servino, who lives in Yonkers, has worked for Mount Vernon for the past 22 years. He has been charged with larceny and has been suspended from work for up to 30 days.
