Movie theaters reopen with restrictions in the Hudson Valley
Movie theaters in the Hudson Valley reopened for business Friday, a delight for movie buffs and anyone looking for a taste of some normalcy.
Cinemas will be capped at 40% capacity and all guests are required to wear masks. Purchased tickets, online or on-site, will automatically have surrounding seats blocked.
Auditoriums will be cleaned between showtimes.
The news is welcome for people who waited a year for this moment.
"[I'm] very excited. It's been [a] crazy adventure this entire time, but can't wait to see my first movie," said Danny Berge, of Spring Valley.
"This morning I got the notification saying, 'We're open' and purchased our tickets," said Ashley Fernandez, also of Spring Valley. "It's just like an easy pastime for us to come and spend time together."
Fernandez and her boyfriend love movies so much, she says they were traveling to New Jersey to see them.
