A youth football program in Mount Vernon is asking the community for help after thousands of dollars' worth of equipment was stolen earlier this month.
The Razorbacks United football trailer at Brush Park was broken into and vandalized on March 10.

Nearly all of its equipment was either taken or destroyed - including helmets, balls and jerseys.
Now the program, which plays a critical role in youth development, is on the hook for replacing and repairing everything - and the burglary could prevent them from starting on time.
"They need this youth football. They really believe in it. And like I said it's not about the x's and o's with me. I did the x's and o's back in '96. It's trying to save lives," says James McMillian, president of the Mount Vernon Razorbacks.
The program is hoping to raise $10,000 and has a GoFundMe set up.to raise funds.
