A Mount Vernon school resource officer received a warm farewell from students.

Officer Chris Greico is in the Army and is expected to head overseas soon.

Students at Trap-Hagen Elementary School got word of the news and wanted to do something special to send him off. The students decided on making several cards wishing him well.

The students and the city’s police department say they wish for Greico’s speedy and safe return home.
