A Mount Vernon man was sentenced to 10 behind bars Friday for shooting a father in Sleepy Hollow.
Emmannuel Valentin Perez pleaded guilty to shooting and killing 32-year-old Manuel Salazar, according to the Westchester County district attorney.
A confrontation between the two men at Margotta Court Park led to the deadly shooting back in 2021, police said.
A second victim was shot.
Salazar was a father of two. The victim's widow told the court that Manuel was a loving husband and losing him changed her life forever.
