A Mount Vernon man pleaded guilty on Thursday in Westchester County Court in connection to the fatal shooting of a Mount Vernon High School student.

Akeem Grant pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the April 2023 shooting death of ninth-grader Tamani Turner.

Grant is set to be sentenced on Aug. 8.
