Mount Vernon man charged in assault of man at New Rochelle train station

The victim, a 65-year-old man, said he was approached and asked if he had money. When the victim said no, the attacker punched him in the face and fled.

A Mount Vernon man has been charged in the assault of a man at the New Rochelle train station on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The victim, a 65-year-old man, said he was approached and asked if he had money.
When the victim said no, the attacker punched him in the face and fled.
The victim was treated at a hospital for injuries to his face and head.
Police say 41-year-old Troy Williams was arrested without incident about an hour later when he returned to the train station.
