The Mount Vernon City School District is hosting a job fair for those seeking a career in education. 

The job fair will be held 2-6 p.m. July 26 at the high school, located at 100 California Road.

The district is currently looking to fill more than 70 positions. 

The district says the positions are for K-8 and high school assistant principals, humanities department chairs and supervisors of special education. There are also openings for biology, living environment, chemistry, physics, math, English, bilingual/English as a new language and elementary teachers. Other openings include reading specialists, speech and language pathologists, school social workers, head custodians, cleaners, school security, typists, school lunch monitors and registered nurses.

People interested in applying are asked to bring copies of their resume and necessary certification/licensing.
