Mount Vernon barber shop students visited two middle schools to give kids and teachers haircuts before the holidays.
Students Eric Peterson-Tull, Dylan Colon, Seth Auguste, and Mehki Torres went with their teacher, Ricardo Boreland, to the Benjamin Turner Middle School and Grimes School to give back.
It gave them confidence by letting them show off their hair-cutting skills and their ability to make their young clients feel comfortable.
This community effort also counts toward graduation.
At the same time, the younger kids walked away with fresh new cuts to style their ways into happy holidays.
The principals of the schools say it was a great experience and they hope they'll be able to do it again.
