The Mount Vernon School District has become the latest to switch its opening plans.
School administrators announced they will go with a fully remote platform for September.
They say the move will allow staff to better prepare for the school year. They'll re-evaluate in October.
The Poughkeepsie City School District made the same decision. The superintendent tells News 12 the change was based largely on the fact that the majority of parents said they prefer their kids to learn virtually.
