Mount St. Mary College in Newburgh is set to welcome a new president.

Dr. Robert Gervasi will assume the role of the college's eighth president on June 17.

With over three decades of experience in higher education administration, Gervasi most recently served as the interim president of Mount Union University in Ohio, following his tenure as president of Ohio Dominican University.

According to the college, Gervasi was selected after an extensive national search.
